Will present Rs 2 Lakh crore Budget next time: BSY

Bangalore: Former Chief Minister and KJP Leader BS Yeddyurappa released the second list of KJP Candidates at a press meet held at Capital Hotel earlier this week. ?Speaking to TWB BSY said, ?I never gave false promises while I was CM. Whatever I committed was fulfilled. Every Taluk witnessed good development in infrastructure works such as good roads, drainage and so on. I was the first Chief Minister to announce one lakh crore budget to state. I was the one who introduced people friendly governance. None of the files were kept pending. Besides I introduced government services at their doorstep. In the rural areas people were getting their property taxes Khatha at their doorsteps to ease their burdens. Women and Monitories were given prominence. I was the one who pressed to give women 50% reservation. If I am given one more chance I will bring out a Mahila Sahakari Bank in rural areas to fund the women in distress and needy to start up their own small scale business ?at 1% interest ?with a capital of 20,000 crores.?

He also expressed his concern towards the minorities who are left with no proper education to the children, no proper job opportunities still working in workshops and mechanical works, Rs. 5000 crores will be set aside to Muslims and Rs. 350 crore will be allotted to Christians besides doubling the budget from 1 lakh crore to 2 lakh crore. He also said that KJP does not have any High Command and the people of Karnataka were his High Command.

The KJP president said he will pay heed to the need of the people and make Karnataka the number one state in the country. He appealed to people of Karnataka to give him one more chance to serve the state to their expectation. Commenting on the campaign status he said that he was getting positive response all over the State. However, people expected only him to campaign which was impossible. He said he was managing to cover five constituencies every day and making maximum efforts to reach people in person.

When questioned about the Lingayat trump card he acknowledged that he had the total support of the Lingayats, but added that he had reached out to help every community including NGOs working in the field of Disability and various other segments. He had released funds for setting of buildings, schools, education and so on.

Will Yeddyurappa turn his magic yet again on the people? Watch this space.
